ELECTRONIC ASSESSMENT

Instructors: P. Morsink, L. Wolf  & S. Greenhalgh

This course revovled around the foundational theories of assessment. These theories allowed me to explore the many digital tools that teachers can use to help them create assessments while using sound pedagogical judgment. I also learned a great deal about formative assessments, rubrics, portfolios and self evaluation. With the knowledge I gained in this course I created a formative assessment that I am hoping to incorporate into my practice one day.  This assessment can be found here, or on my showcase page under creations > Formative Assessment Design.

CAPSTONE PORTFOLIO COURSE

Instructors: M. Koehler, S. Keenan, S. Greenhalgh & B. Dillman

This course is the culmination of my journey with the Master of Arts in Education program at Michigan State University.  This course has allowed me to learn how to build a professional portfolio.  Creating a portfolio has allowed me to reflect back on the work I have completed in my courses and the vast amount of knowledge I have gained.  I have also learned a great deal on the importance of quality feedback among colleagues and how to accept constructive criticism.  At the completion of the course I will participate in an exhibition of my portfolio where I will be able to showcase the portfolio I have built.
